NATIONAL CHAMPIONS 2012!

Vixenz has planted its name on the country’s Ultimate scene by
claiming the women’s national title at this year’s New Zealand
Ultimate Championships.
An undefeated Vixenz team quashed last year’s runners-up Chch Chicks,
of Christchurch, to seal the final 15-5.
The squad, coached by Meg Nicoll, set a new standard for women’s
Ultimate with no opposition team able to score more than seven points
against the team during the two day tournament.
And claiming another victory for the club was Vixenz DS [development
squad], coached by Helen Germann, who were heralded as the most
spirited female team above four other oppositions.
Vixenz DS, who finished in 5th place, had other women’s teams
talking about how strong the squad became over the tournament and what
a force they will be in the future.

Final results in the Women’s Division:
5th – Vixenz DS (Auckland)
3rd equal – Wildcats (Wellington) and Artemis (Wellington)
2nd – Chch Chicks (Christchurch)
1st – Vixenz (Auckland)

Vixenz DS (Development Squad) will give intermediate and beginner players a place to receive coaching and be part of a team that encourages learning and personal growth in the sport.
